the Journal of the British Wheel of Yoga

As an antenatal yoga teacher, I have long been looking for a DVD that my pregnant students can use to practise at home in safety and, at last, I have found one that I would highly recommend.

You can either view the DVD all the way through or you can choose any of the sections. The DVD features three pregnant ladies giving clear demonstrations of the postures and some former students with their babies saying how much they were helped by the yoga both during their pregnancies and during the birth process.

It was nice to hear familiar replications of the instructions that I give in class, so that my students, as any pregnant woman, would be easily able to follow the gentle, safe, relaxing sequence of postures.

I have recently been quite shocked to see some of the new yoga for pregnancy books, which include postures that I would consider positively harmful during pregnancy. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that I can say that this DVD covers all the safety aspects and the responsibility of looking after two lives, with exemplary detail and I would have no hesitation at all in recommending it.
